With three decades of experience as an accountant and advisor, Rick, a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), has been a member of Brentnalls SA since its inception in 2000. As Managing Partner of the firm between 2012 and 2020, he has played a critical role in the firm's strategic growth. 

Rick's business advisory services expertise makes this experienced accountant well-equipped in taxation and wealth creation planning, benchmarking, strategic planning, and management and cash flow planning.

Apart from his executive roles at Brentnalls SA, Rick's strong business leadership background includes an Executive Board role with the Adelaide Primary Health Network. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Because of his extensive leadership experience, Rick sits on various client Executive Teams and Advisory Boards to help them focus on their strategic growth and direction.

Industry Experience

Medical & Allied Health
Rick has extensive experience in the health sector, working with medical specialists, dentists, GP practices, and allied health care providers in areas including corporate governance, tax planning, cashflow planning, financial planning and reporting, and wealth planning. His commitment to the sector is demonstrated by his membership on several boards, including the Northern Adelaide Medicare Local and Adelaide Primary Health Network. He is a Non-Executive Director of Kid Sense Child Development Corporation Pty Ltd.

Agribusiness
Rick has more than two decades of experience working with farmers in sectors such as cropping and livestock, horticulture, and poultry (small and large-scale grower farms).

Tourism

As the Chairman of one of the largest privately owned inbound luxury tour operators, Rick has a hands-on understanding of the pressures of the tourism industry. The experienced FCA helps clients with financial modelling of industries, proof-of-concept modelling of products and services, as well as technology and systems to create efficiencies.

Veterinary
Rick has a portfolio of clients in veterinary practices across suburban and rural areas. He understands the pressures of the industry and helps his clients with benchmarking and budgeting.

Construction, Building & Allied Services
Civil and construction, commercial and residential air-conditioning, commercial cleaning, and facilities management are among the family-owned businesses Rick has worked with over the past two decades.
